About This Project: Questions Answered

Here are examples of questions I've answered over the past years.

I respond to all email and try to answer all questions about the Travels I receive. Most of what I know about the Travels is somewhere in these pages. It's a good idea to look around the site a little (I've added a site index to help find things) before sending questions. And, it should be obvious that I like Gulliver's Travels quite a lot and I might not take kindly to requests for help in avoiding reading the book.

question: can you send me a short summary of Gulliver's Travels.

answer: Little people, big people, a flying island, talking horses.

I try to answer questions from students needing help with assignments without doing their homework for them. I especially welcome requests for assistance from teachers, parents, and anyone else reading and studying Swift's works. I'm glad to answer factual questions, recommend texts, provide pointers to sources, or just chew the fat. For convenience, I divided this into four sections:

p.s. Since I've started to use a comment form, I've received some mail without a return address. I have a dead letter archive for those answers.
